I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly- John 10:10.
The purpose of Lifemor is to be a partner in the Restored Hope Network, to provide private counseling, facilitate menís and womenís support groups, and support parents, relatives and friends of those who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction. We are also listed as a referral source for the scientific organization National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality.
Many who have taken the journey toward healing are in a heterosexual marriage and are working toward healthy marriages. Research shows that homosexuality is a dynamic changing condition over the lifespan. There are many success stories and resources that lead the struggler toward relationships that are in harmony with what is natural and that which is in agreement with the Christian Scriptures.
LifeMor provides private counseling to individuals, couples, and family members. Relational problems, marriage difficulties, problems with pornography, etc. are addressed in private counseling sessions by founder and President, Bob Gates. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of New Mexico who has been involved in the counseling profession since 1987. He is also a Doctor of Ministry candidate.
Groups are facilitated by those who have struggled with or are affected by homosexuality. Menís, womenís, and family member and friends PFOX.org (Parents and Friends of Ex-"Gays" and "Gays") groups provide support and comfort to those affected by homosexuality.
One focus of LifeMor is outreach toward men who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA). Homosexuality, sexual addiction, pornography and the myriad of issues involved with intimacy and relationships. Human sexuality was designed by God and is intended to be holy, pure and shared only between one man and one woman, in the bond of marriage. Join us as we learn together what God intends for us as men, how He expects us to express our sexuality and how He beckons us towards restoration and our true identity in Jesus Christ.
Another focus of LifeMor is to reach out to women who are attracted to the same sex. You will discover what is at the heart of same-sex attraction. Materials from authors such as www.JanelleHallman.com are used to educate group members concerning ways to relate in a more healthy, non-dependent manner, with boundaries. The focus on the groups is to learn how to live a holy celibate life or to learn to enter into a satisfying heterosexual relationship.
